State-Level NGO Capacity-Building Training Program On "Water, Sanitation, And Hygiene (WASH)

With an objective of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 6 (SDG-6) by empowering the youth with knowledge on WASH, Vishwa Yuvak Kendra and Indian Institute of Youth & Development (IIYD), in collaboration with FANSA India, Odisha Chapter organised a two-day state-level NGO capacity-building training program on "Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)" at the Red Cross Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, Odisha on September 1-2, 2023.
The event kicked off with an inspiring inauguration by our Chief Guest, Mr. Bibhuti Bhusan Pattnaik IAS (Retd.)- Honarary Secretary, IRCS, Odisha State Branch, alongside guests and resource persons. It was heartening to witness the active participation from over 84 representatives, including NGOs, WASH Ambassadors, and more, representing 15 districts of Odisha.
Throughout the day, our expert resource persons engaged in thought-provoking discussions covering crucial topics such as Human Rights to water, Engaging young people on WASH in formal education, Senior Citizens and WASH, 15th Finance Commission and WASH, City Wide Inclusive Sanitation, Urban WASH and community participation.
